Exhaust Question

Hey guys what up?Any how have a question that i hope you guys can help me out with,i looked threw the forums and didn't find anything like mine, i have a 96 Eclipse GS-T,i have a Magnaflow Exhaust, i checked Magnaflow website and they don't make a Exhaust for a Turbo Eclipse so i would think it Universal Exhaust or something like that,anyhow my brother and the guys from my CC say that when i floor it, like around 3500rpm and higher it starts to sound real nasty like it starts to choke,it kinda sounds like it lets air flow out and then it stop, and it does it real fast so it sounds real nasty,i had it checked for hole thinking that might have been it,but the guy at the Muffler shop said it was fine,i don't know if you need like a special exhaust for a turbo,anyone know what it might be?

you should go and get an exhaust to make you a new exhaust from the turbo back should be aorund 250 or less dont pya 500 plus from a site for a bolt on systems its not worth it.. and also it might have a magnaflow muffler on it and you were right they dont make a sysytem for our cars.

What Magnaflow muffler do you have on it? They do have the STi set-up for the WRX.
I have a regular V8 muffler on mine and it does the same thing as yours.Can't wait to cut it off and put a straight thru fart-can on.

Thats how its suppose to sound when the boost kick in and the wastegate opens up and it pushes lots of air right out your exhaust. So you should be ok.

hey well thanks guys for your help.i went out and got a turbo back done,and i also got a APEXI exhaust, i paid $100 bucks for the Apexi,and 150 bucks to get the turbo back done in 2.5 inch pipe,they said they couldn't put bigger piping on my car do to the fact that i have a sprint 2' drop all around and i would scrape,hopefully it fixed the problem, and if it didn't o-well i don't have money to be spending like that, and thanks again everyone for your help
