Shorty Log Manifold

Hey guys. I'm wondering if anyone has use this Shorty Log Manifold from www.straightlinespecialties.com and it is made of 304SS tubing. Which they said it has longer runner than the sbr cast manifold. What do u guys think. Thanks oj

i think the manifold is awsome. i wanted to test one out myself when i got some money together to purchase one. what im wonding is if it would out flow the ported slow boy manifold because this one is obviously a better deal and the runners look way bigger.

Design oversights aside that welding is horrible. There should be no discolartion on a proper stainless weld. Notice the rainbow hues to the sides of each bead?
Their production pieces might be better though.

The word "Chinchy" comes to mind here. No support brackets, welds look iffy, the flanges look awkward for some reason, and the desgin definitely has cost in mind. In the long run it will probably cost you less to not cheap out.

Why the hell would you ever get a log manifold when there are so many better options with better flow characteristics available? Variety of equal length tubular, the evo 3, SBR cast manifolds and ported 2g are all better choices than a log. Your not exactly limited on space in a dsm like in a n/a to turbo conversion.
Exhaust pulses from cyl 2 & 3 slam into the common header pipe. This causes turbulence and poor flow into the turbine. Find a unit with individual runners and a collector.

I was about to buy a DNP header this week. I ran a post on feedback from the hundreds that have been sold without 1 cracking. I got 1 response and he said if I was looking for a good HP gain to look somewhere else.
Even though he was putting down 600+HP he did not credit the header with that much especially for an average car like mine. Mark
