Just a quick question, does forced performance do good porting jobs? I'm getting ready to send parts of my engine to be ported and i want a good porting job. its not like i'm going to be there to over see what their doing, so i would like to hear from anyone who got a porting job done there. thanks! :dsm:
 
You're porting your engine, like head porting or "engine parts"?

I saw a brand new red turbo in person, the porting was very nice, mirror smooth, it was hard to believe it is done by hand.
 
Their portwork is incredible. I'd post some pics of the port on my new turbo, but i've been too lazy to upload them. All I can tell ya is I have a TDO6h turbine and I'm making full boost by 3700 rpm. Granted there was some tuning involved, but I think a lot must be said for FP's wonderful portwork. Mirror smooth stuff.
 
I just recieved my FP Big28, and the porting job is awesome. Mirror finish and first class.

If you're on the stock O2 housing, 9/10 times you're gonna creep with that turbo ported.

When you buy an EVO III turbo you should pick up the EVO III O2 sensor housing. It will make a big difference. It even helped eliminate what little creep I had with my FPT28. You need an aftermarket downpipe with slotted holes for it to fit though.
 
i have a 3"o2 eliminator, so it looks like there is no lock of flow, i think the bottle neck would be the wastegate
 
Although my FP-Big28 died somehow, and is at FP for warranty work (hopefully they will warranty it, the exhaust fins got chewed somehow, and my engine runs fine, so I don't think something flew through it) when I got the turbo from them brand new last month, the port job was nothing short of awesome. :thumb:
 
looks like most of the people posting on this have good experience with FP so maybe some one will be able to help me out. I didn't see anything on their site about a 34mm wastegate flapper. So does the evoIII they offer have a 34mm and if not wouldn't this be a problem when trying to eliminate boost creep?
 
creep can be eliminated without upgrading the flapper, a propper port job and o2 housing should do it, im gettin ready to go through with the install my self so ill soon know
