I have really bad luck... I put a Tblock where the factory oil pressure sender is and mounted both the factory and my greddy oil pressure gauge there. well last night that Tblock decided to break apart and blow out mucho oil.. The threading for the tblock is stuck inside the oil cooler still screwed in and there is nothing to grab it by. This happened right outside of a muffler shop so i just shut the car off and rolled it into their shop. I think Im going to just have the muffler shop weld the oil cooler hole shut and then get the pressure source from somewhere else. Can someone tell me where else i can get a pressure reading from??

I think you can also remove the factory oil pressure warning light sender which is directly in front of the oil pressure gauge sending unit. I am almost positive you can use that for a gauge, the greddy adaptor should go right in, because it goes right into the port where the factory gauge sending unit is. Corey

what is an easy out? something to get out whats stuck in there you mean??

The shop its out said they shouldnt have a problem getting this thing out and the sender back in but we'll see..

An Easy-out tool is like a reverse tap. It has the shape of a tap but the threads are like spirals. The Easy-out is used to remove broken studs or bolts from holes. Typically you drill the center of the broken stud and screw in the easy out. But when you are screwing the easy out in, you are doing so as if you were removing the screw. The Easy-out digs into the stud and pulls it out of the block or whatever its broken off in. Thats probably what the shop is going to use.

on the bottom and front of the oil filter housing, you'll see some hex-shaped plugs. you can remove one of those to mount your sender. the thread size for those is 3/8" NPT.

i was wondering if you could use that one.. its basically right in front of where the other spot is right?? I just would need an adapter to use that spot since the pressure sender is smaller.

thanks for the input guys but I dont need it anymore.. I just got back from the place.. kinda funny.. they used a easy-out to get it out :) I have the greddy oil pressure sender in their now.

Hey Larry make sure you read up on it first. I remember reading something about how one of those ports should not be used. It hink its on RRE's site or something, Ill try and find it for you. Anyhow, there are many ways to fix your problem, try an easy out, or retap or something, itll come out....

Just for the archives using a T block or something to tee your pressure senders is a BAD idea.

Same thing happened to me. I had my stock sender hanging off the end of the Tee. Well it broke flush at the filter housing and I lose alot of the oil, luckily I caught it in time before engine is seized. Just too much leverage when you have more than a sending hanging off the 1/8 NPT thread, it cannot support the weight. The vibration will break it one day, or if you happen to have a rock thrown at it while driving.

Next time take off an unused plug and get a 3/8 NPT bushing so you can put in 1/8 NPT senders either factory or aftermarket.

if you tap into the lower fitting, then you'd be getting unfiltered oil. if you just have a sender there, it shouldn't matter. but of course, you wouldn't want to put an oil supply line there.

i actually put the sender for my electric oil pressure gauge where the line for the oil supply came off of when i installed a 14b (used the stock 1G oil feed location). i found that the readings there were 10-15 psi less than what they were if i used a different location. BTW, the fittings on the lower front and bottom are basically sourced the same as the stock sender fitting location.
