Can't lift the head off to save my life.

I'm pretty sure I have everything disconnected that needs to be. I'm leaving the intake manifold connected during removal.

Is there some kind of special way to lift the head off?

Did you take the bracket off connecting the intake manifold and block?

well you could try a 1 ton lifter by ataching it to the valve cover coblts, and pull away!

no seriorsly, on the back of the intake mani, there are two bolts connected to manifold, that holds on a bracket to the block, used to support the intake manifold. there is onle bolt on the block, but its easier to take the two bolts out of the back of the intake manifold.

Check the intake mani bracket that connects to the block and make sure it is off. Also you may want to have someone help you lift it off, because it can be a pain to lift off if you don't lift it off straight up. Hope this helps.

I got it. Thanks guys. I had everything disconnected, I just wasn't pulling hard enough. I put a crowbar inside the exhaust manifold inlets into the head and pryed it up. Came off immediately.
