Quick question. I bought a N/A waterpipe and thermostat housing in the interest of putting it on my 90' gsx with my oil cooled turbo. Is the thermo the same? Or should I just block off that nipple thats there now and just install the N/A waterpipe?

You mean the thermostat housing? No, they are different. Well, the thermostat housing has 2 sections. The top and lower. All the tops are the same on all 1Gs but the bottom are different between NA and turbo cars. The bottom section on turbo cars has the extra outlet for the turbo coolant supply line. Does that make sense? :thumb:

The water outlet pipe on the NA cars has no nipple for the coolant return like the one found in the turbo cars. Since you already have the NA pipe, just swap it in - Do the same thing with the t-housing since you already have them.

Perfect! Thats what I wanted to know. I just wasnt sure if the thermostat housing on an NA functioned differently from the Turbo version. I wanted to put the NA housing so it didn't have the nipple (I perfer a cleaner install then hacking and jb welding stuff close).

Thanks :thumb:
