I have a 6bolt motor in my 2g and i have the balance shafts removed. I noticed a little more oil pressure reading from the stock gauge. I was wondering if this could effect a New turbo in anyway as i already had a brand new turbo from a respectable vendor fail by oil blow-by in the turbine and compressor side of the turbo. Causing lots of oil to be burned and billows of smoke... my oil feed is taken from the oil filter housing with a brand new install kit/feed line.. Any ideas on why a brand new turbo would just have oil oozing from both sides of the wheels? Would it just be a fluke in the turbo rings or could it be oil pressure.. Ive never heard of this happening before but it happened to me and now im getting the same turbo replaced under warranty. I really dont want this to happen again. I really doubt it could be my oil pressure becuase on my stock gauge while cuising around town, sits inbetween the high mark and the Medium mark indicating good oil pressure. Any ideas?

If it is a ball bearing turbo they dont require as much oil! A restrictor as suggested or take it from the back of the head!

No i didnt have a restrictor and i bought the install kit that comes with a -4an feed line which i was told to use the oil from my oil filter housing

nevermind i found out my oil pressure is too high and im getting a restrictor for it... No problems now turbo is perfectly fine. Admins can close this thread if they would like :thumb:
