What all bends did you use? I am about to do it. I would like to get an idea from someone that has already done it if I can. Trying to avoid trial and error and buying pipes I don't end up using.

TIA!

I actually searched 3 times and never saw that thread. Thanks though. Sorry for asking a question.

3 "u" bends from summit is enough to do ic piping from the outlet to the upper pipe in the engine bay. summit they're 18 bux a piece we've used it on 3 cars so far it's been like 60 bux worth of piping. i shoul dstart selling them on ebay for 120

Please explain how 3 U bends gets you from the outlet up to the UICP?

well no one said what turbo specifially and all the ones we did used compressor covers that pointed directly downward, 90 from that outlet to a 180 around the drivers side into the ic out the ic at a 90 to a 40 and back to the upper pipe you'll end up with one extra 90 section

i ordered 2.5" bends from jcwhitney cost me about $90 for everything. I bought one straight pipe, 2(45 degree) pipes, and one 180 degree pipe. I only had to make 2 cuts and no welding needed to rig up the pipes i came out very decent

how do you flare the ends? do you take it to a shop? i haven't seen a tool that flares out 2.5 inch pipe. just wondering because thats the only reason why i haven't made my own pipe yet.

I bought aluminum pipes from rre. Then but them and took them to a local machine shop and they welded them for me. Cost around $300 with clamps / reducers and all. Aluminum too :thumb:

Bent all mine outta 2.5 alluminized.
Only to replace my factory hoses
and weld a 1G BOV bracket.
Still stock side mount,LOL.
Benefits of working in a
muff shop.
