Regina,
On my 92 tsi, i have a cracked and leaky manifold. What a surprise.

I took the manifold off my 90 tsi, and it is painted, and the paint is wearing off in some places, so i can't see if it has any cracks or leaks anywhere. So i was just wondering if it is possible to take it somewhere and get it pressure tested to see if it's leaking anywhere?

Thanks, thats a good idea. Unfortunatly, I already have the manifold off of the other car along with the turbo. Is their any other way to check just the manifold by itself?

They all leak, you have a 15 year old car, not to mention a DSM.

Shit breaks, stop whinning.

Why don't you keep such useless comments to yourself? Like really, what's the purpose of making such a comment?? This is a technical board where people come for answers not to be insulted by people like you. If you have nothing positive to say then STFU!

The manifold needs to be shot-peened and magnafluxed to find the cracks.
So it's a good thing you have it off the engine.
Unfortunately it is more than probably cracked if it is a 1G manifold.

Its not useless, its the truth. I do not even need to see his manifold to tell him it is cracked and probably leaking, THEY ALL ARE. Unless you had your DSM in a plastic bag for the last 15 years, and only have 20,000 miles on it, the shit will be cracked, and most likely leaking. It is a fact of life. I went 12.0@120 on a small 16g with my stocker, cracked to shit like every stock 1g manifold I have seen. This is why I added the stock whining to my post.

So, to be helpful..

My magic 8 ball is telling me your stock manifold is cracked, so you have a few viable options.

1)Run it
2)Get a Slowboy
3)get a new 2g
4)Stop whining, and run it.
