First of all its nice to talk to someone now even though info is out there just in case something new has come along so thank u moderators forlocking my thread, and to the ppl who responded, tks for ur thoughts , and no my engine is perfectly fine, its not my daily driver and i change the oil every 1,000 miles but im just affraid if i spend all my money into it, the possibilties of crankwalk at high HP is very high, i dunno, im looking to get 500 hp to a 7 bolt but i dont think that will happen so im looking for a 6 bolt.

Is it even possible to get 3-400 out of a 7 bolt without having to worry about walkin it?

You may get 500 from a 7 bolt but it won't last long lets put it that way. The 4G63 is good but not magical and thats a lot of power for that motor stock

A 6 bolt will do it because of the stronger OE rods and lower compressioni to start with.

I made about 420ish on my stock 7 bolt but I ended up hurting the head gasket in the end and the car was pushing coolant so it was recently pulled out and a built 6 bolt going in.

If its not going to walk at 350 hp its not going to walk at 500. If you build up the 7bolt you can make those kinds of numbers--

If you don't build up a 6 bolt and try those numbers you're just as likely to break something

if the motor is going to walk, its going to walk. doesnt matter how much power you are making. you are more likely to break more stuff the more power you make. 350hp is about average for a 7 bolt. anything much after that and you gotta go with built internals, and at that point you might as well go over to a 6 bolt to help avoid crank walking your new, expensive, built motor. get it?

thats a very good theory. very interesting to read. it will be interesting to see how those 2g blocks with the 1g squirters work out.

so far, ive taken every measure i can to prevent cw. i have a switch for my clutch sensor, i use synthetic, i change my oil often, and i dont beat the piss out of my motor with clutch drops and so forth all the time.
