So i got a jdm 4g63 turbo engine tranny (the whole works). It's in the car and everything is hooked up. Here's the problems that I'm having. Anyone with any info on this swap would be greatly appreciated, any suggestions would also be helpful.

-clutch problem: i know all 1gs are notorious for clutch problems, and this one is no different. the clutch wouldn't fully disengage, so i went down the line of replacing all of the parts that could lead to this. the clutch pedal "lever" is now welded in place to fix the wear, the master cylinder and the slave cylinder have been replaced by new parts, and I have installed a slave cylender extension rod to add more throw. None of these helped until I put in the slave cylender extension rod. Now it will go into gear, but not without grinding in reverse and sometimes in second and fourth. This is the f'ed up thing, it wont go into any of the forward gears (1st, 3rd, 5th)??? I have not replaced the clutch fork or the falcrum ball, which I will soon be replacing due to a ####ing fried brand new clutch (ill get to that in a second).

-brake problem: as i was limping the car to a safe garage to continue the work on this wonderful car, the brakes went solid. I barely had any brakes, and only if I pressed as hard as i could. the pedal would not move. I got to within 100 feet of the garage, and the car decided that it was done moving and the brakes locked up. this is where the ####ing fried clutch comes into play, since i didn't have 1st, 3rd, or 5th gears I was driving the car home with 2nd as my starting gear, and 4th as my cruising gear. the car decided to lock up its brakes on an incline, i was pissed, and continued to get the car moving, but the clutch is besides the point, that was my own dumbass fault. What I want to know is if anyone out there has had this problem before and what i can do about it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

The problem like previously stated, is a legnth issue in the cable.

I took apart the adjuster on the shifter side of the cables, used my dremel and cut equal amounts of thread off and put it back together.

the problem was evne though you cold adjust it shorter, it wouldnt go short enough.
