I just bought a project car and odometer says 56,000 but the guy i bought it from said that he thinks it might of had an engine swap i think it did because the oil filter housing is from a 91 and up and the car is a 90, but my main question is the honeing marks on the cylinders are good but, on the back and front faces of the cylinder walls the honeing marks arent apparent like they are on the sides, do you think my bottom end is in decient shape, im still going to check the bearing tolerances of the bottom end to make sure they are ok. Any help would be helpful thanks.

ok i went outside to take a picture of what im talking about here it is.

Its normal for the contact face of the cylinder wall to be more worn than the rest of the cylinder due to the fact that when the piston is being moved by combustion more force is exerted on one side of the cylinder because of the way the crank has to rotate

awesome thanks alot guys, i didnt really pay attention to the hone on my other talon because i just assumed it was good being that it only had 80,000 miles on it at the time. Thanks
