What will do u do in this situation

I have a broken 95 Tsi and i want to do a rebuild........I found this 6 Bolt OEM fresh built engine never started with 6 months warranty (long block) at karking online.....Do you guys think its a good deal to get it for $1350 and then do the 6bolt swap or gather up $2300 and pick up a built bottom end from SBR and rebuild the 2g head i have and go form there(considering the parts i will need for the 6bolt swap)...............also consider the amount i will need to send the stock bottom end to the shop to get it bored and machined for bigger pistons,rods and crank.....All opinions matter

Hey man you should check out overbore.com they have 7 bolts that they fixed crankwalk on so you dont have to wory about that, they also blue print and use arp head studs and use mls headgasket. you should give them a call -peace

man you're talking about thousands when you can get a 1g engine for 700 or less.

How did they fix crankwalk? or are they crankwalked motors that they just rebuilt to stock specs?

They modified the thurst baring also the stregthin the crank but you should call them to find out, the guy sounds like he knows what hes talking about.

I would just go with a ported 1g head rather than the 2g, they flow better to begin with. But in your situation I'd just pick up a built 6 bolt block and then find a cheap 1g head on ebay or something and have it ported or do it yourself to save some money.

Why not go with a 4g64 from karking? They are 550$ and ready to have some nice rods and pistons bolted in. Also they are much more of a drop in than 6 bolts, but searching can help you decide about that.
