Received my Down Pipe today

I ordered my down pipe on Saturday. It is Wednesday. I ordered it from DSMParts.com. They was great. Fast Shipping and great customer service.

Please don't bash for the choice of downpipe. Here in KC there many fast DSM's running in the 12's and faster with this same downpipe. It is the 3" PaceSetter Monza Downpipe. It is all mandrel bent. The welds look decent and the flex section is pretty good also. It has a nice coating on it. And plus for only $232 shipped is a great deal.

The RnR one I was going to get was going to be $259 or so without shipping. I am pleased for now. I will have it put on today or tommorow. I am going to have a 3" test tipe made and attached to it. I will let you guys know how well this item stands up. Here are some pictures.

About 2 years ago I bought a Spark Plug Cover from Nopi. Took about 2 weeks to get here.

It only took 3-4 working days for DSMParts.com for it to ship it. I give them major props. And they have a new happy customer

Thought I would post pictures of the Down Pipe and 3" Test Pipe Installed. Since I work at a Ford Dealership. I have accsess to a lift and my tools. So I installed this myself. Only problem I had was that I had to torch off one of the bolts on the flange for the cat...where it used to be. I just used all new hardware to bolt it all in. I got some really nice 3" Exhaust Clamps from Parts that I made it all connect.

I will get my 3" Cat-Back made from a friend and install that here pretty soon. I'll let you know when that gets done.

RnR has terrible customer service and terrible ship times. Tyler should chim in and tell you what he had to go through to get his o2 Ellim.....Over 3 monthes to get to him.

But you can't beat RnR's quality and price.

yah, the price was ok. but the loooong wait, the no phone call returns, the no email returns, and then the ship to the wrong place(i had to literally chase down the ups truck) was only overshadowed by the fact that the freaking pipe DIDNT FIT. i had that sucker on and off the car 3 times, finally i got a turbine housing and tried to line it up off the car. 2 bolt holes were at least 1/16" off, i had to hog them out. then, the pipe hit the transfer case, and the sway bar, the cat end was too long, and clocked wrong. i had to bend the oil dipstick tube, and the front of the pipe hit the crossmember under the radiator. then there is the death rattle on decel. oh, and if you check, the openings for the wastegate and exh dont line up. not even close.

Yeah... RNR has nice stuff... but hell customer service is out the window.

I called in my order and was told 1 week. Two weeks later someone else tells me it take 2-3 weeks to build and a week to ship the 5th week I am called and told it is shipping, here is a tracking number. 7th week... ohh it is on its way.

The tracking number was never received by UPS for over a week form the day RNR gave it to me. If wasn't until I got on their case and promissed them if I didn't has the item by a certain date I would stop all payment s and make a formal complaint.. BBB etc...

I would recommend RNR as long as U are willing to "Order and Forget". It will show up and it is nice stuff... just way too long.

Now reading some of these posts... I have to go get this thing installed soon... Im getting concerned about fitment.

i have that downpipe. I like it and yes it was cheap. Only problem i had is that there was no room to stick a socket when tighting the bolts when it connects to the o2housing. Had to get a lil crafty with a hammar and bang in about a half inch on both sides. This was about 2 years ago, not sure if they fixed the problem. Oh, and it starts to rust after a while. Been 2 years like i stated before and surface rust is forming.

i bought that same downpipe 3yrs ago for $175 brand new. i've had no problems out of it whatsoever.

I ordered an N1 down pipe from 9 second racing today i hope they have fast shipping b.c im wanting to get the downpipe on before i start driving the car. Is the N1 downpipe a good down pipe? I have an Apex'i muffler so i hope i gain a few xtra horses from the downpipe!
