Hey guys,

I'm new to DSMs and this board ... i've already done a search but didn't find the answer I was looking for ...

These are the questions I need answers to ...

I'm getting (in about a week) an auto 98-99 GSX ...

My first mods are going to be an intake, downpipe and cat-back exhaust ...

What intake(s),downpipe(s), and exhaust systems do you recommend?

Also, when I get the money, I want to upgrade my turbo to a Mitsubishi EVO III Big 16G Turbo and the EVO III exhaust manifold ...

The thing I need to know is this ... if I were to get a downpipe now ... would I need to get a new one when I get the turbo upgrade ...

Thanks alot for helping me out ...

For the downpipe and catback exhaust, Ive seen a lot of 2g's running the Apexi N1. I think it looks good and sounds real nice, but Im not positive if it is a full 3", I believe there are some neck downs. Also the thermal is a real nice exhaust that is a full 3" from the catback. If you were to go with the thermal r&d catback then you would need to get a downpipe and highflow cat/ test pipe to complete the exhaust parts. For the downpipe I think that you should go with a three inch piece and then a three inch test pipe. It'll sound real good and flow plenty for the evo III 16g. For the intake piece you could go with an injen intake, but im not sure if that will mate up with the evo16g when you upgrade. Im not positive on that but if it doesnt fit with the evo16g then you could a K&N for now and then go with a full intake piece when you upgrade the turbo. Also get a 1g bov so that you'll hold boost when you get on the gas. Oh and when you upgrade you shouldnt have any problem mating up your downpipe to your new turbo. Hope this helps.
