 Hey guys im in need of some advice. I just purchased a 1992 gsx that obviously had the timing belt slip and valves met pistons. Well i just pulled the head , I have a spare head to put on this car, but now im unsure of if i can keep the pistons. please take a look at the pics and tell me what you think.. thanks alot. this is the worst one. ive seen many pistons that got nailed by the valves but not as hard as this.

Are you kidding? Those pistons are fine. As stated, just smooth the edges a little bit. I like using the 3M rust/paint stripper wheel (with drill) on mine. A good idea to tape off along the circumference of the piston so you gon't get grit between the cylinder wall and piston. :thumb:
