Small 16g install on a 2g: stock 1g or aftermarket Jpipe?

Did a search, and didn't find a whole lot on this:

Stock 1g Jpipe or aftermarket RRE Jpipe on a 2g small 16g install? I'm going to be running the stock smic for quite a while, so keep this in mind...

Advantages or disadvantages in terms of performance, and how significant? Could I re-use the stock 2g licp to fit either pipe (I think I'd need a 90* coupler to fit the licp to the RRE Jpipe...)
