2G maf plug installed on 1G. Can I get a 2g MAFT Translator?

A long shot, but.....

I noticed theres an add for a used 2g maf translator and I was just wondering if it would hookup to my 1g with the already-hacked 2g maf plug ? Or are the translator boxes designed differently?

No, It wont work properly, If you get one, You'll hafto get your stock plug put back on, And get the correct version that is made for your car. Not the 2g version.

I found out it works fine with a 2g maf plug. On the translator, there are 4 pins. One of the pins allows you to select which version dsm you have, 1g or 2g. Just in case anyone wanted to know. Also, a friend of mine has a "1g version" on his 2g with a 1g harness. Works just as good.

Good to hear, I was going by what everyone else was saying in previous threads I had read. I guess they were wrong!

You can only put a 1g maft on a 2g if it is version 2.xx. The same with the 2g on a 1g.
