:talon: :talon: For some reason my car (not listed) is burning oil really badly and drives rough, every time i drive i need to carry an extra qt. or 2 of oil. it has 130000 miles, it is a 90 talon tsi awd. the top end was rebuilt about 20000 miles agowith a new timing belt and valve internals, as the mods are as follows:big 16ported and polished, full 2.5 in buschur exhaust, high flow cat, and dynomax ss muffler, k&n air filter, replaced intercooler and rad. new exhaust manifold. I think the problem is internal but not sure. When it runs fine it can run high 13's on stock settings. Please help asap thanks :talon:

my friend was suffering from the same problem and it turned out to be two thing, one was a bad piston ring, and the other was one of the sensors on the blocks came loose and oil was leaking out of that.

this was a 95 talon ESI tho, but it could be the same problem you are suffering from. A compression test will let you know right away tho.

I know its old, and the engine might not be all that clean but can you see any signs of a leak anywhere?
