Comp or Crower equivelent to HKS?

Does anyone know what Comp Cams or Crower cams is equivelent to the popular HKS set-up??
Have you guys ever used Comp or Crower?? Any help would be appreciated.

HKS has the name that Comp, Crower, and Web wish they had. However, Ive never heard bad things about Comp, Crower or Web. (I know you didnt mention web, but theyre a competent company).

Most people will say go with one of the 'other 3' not HKS becuase in general theyre cheaper. However, I would buy HKS. I know their products have been around for a long time and I trust them.

ive heard alot of good things about comp cams, they make some pretty wicked grinds.

A friend of mine had crowers and liked them. As far as I know though the HKS cams are the only ones that don't REQUIRE cam gears for them to work properly ... so in the end they all cost the same to get them to actually help.

Any cam other than comp and HKS will probably require cam gears for tuning. So you can spend $600 on HKS or $500 on Comp, or buy webcams, etc, then add another $250 for camgears...and you have just spent way too much.

Comp is very good. I have there cams in my DSM and a custom grind in my LS1 T/A couldnt be happier with them. They have been making cams forever.

Check out Forced Performance's cams. They've worked with Comp Cams and have came out with a pretty strong cam. These are what I will be running.

Here is my review for the comp cams 100's


I have a 2g 7bolt stock, small 16g, 550's, afc, fmic, exhuast, 190 pump.. and so on.

Gain on the dyno

Before cams

288awhp pump gas @20psi
302.6 awhp race gas @~25psi

After comp cams 100's
303awhp pump gas @20psi
338awhp race gas @ ~26psi

Track gains with these cams

Before
12.55@108

After

Hmm gain of ~15awhp on pump and ~35awhp on race gas, and .25 seconds off 1/4 and ~3mph in the 1/4

So far i like them
