First I must say I dont care too much about the life of the turbo that much, as long as it lasts a couple months or so. Second, my car is relatively stock, would this be catostrphic boosting that high on a t25, or is this just a t25 and it doesn't really matter that much?
 
nevermind, i just thought of sumthing, if the T25 tried boosting over 15 lbs I would probly knock pretty bad, nevermind. Having a slow day today :shhh:
 
Yes, you're right. Even if you got rid of fuel cut, (can you?) a stock SMIC isn't going to help you knocking. Pump gas, higher boost isn't going to help you, so don't do it.
 
You can run small turbos with the WG held shut and not hurt the motor. Not enough airflow. I did this on a 14b. Only damage was to the turbo, the track officials handed me my turbine wheel after it had shot out of my exhaust, after letting it cool a bit ;) On race gas, the motor will have no trouble with whatever airflow the small turbos can put out, as long as you have it tuned right (AFR is decent, and timing is acceptable).
