Well i finally got my car back together, brand new motor in and turned her over for the first time tonight, idleing super rough, like 400rpm and had a lot of trouble reving her up at all, highest i got it was like 1200 and definately sounds really rough

the cas was just put on into the middle so im guessing its just a timing issue, i hope so anyway

these prothane motor mounts all around with no bshafts and how it was running was making the car vibrate really really really really bad LOL

its nice to hear them run after you dump paycheck after paycheck into them...make sure you didnt put your cas in wrong...that could cause the shitty idle and revving

i was thinking the same thing, i lined the mark on it up with the mark on the case of the cas, so i thought i had it right

i mean it was idling REALLY bad, could give it decent amount of gas and revs would barely go up, car was shaking like it was not running on 4 cyls

ok i pulled the plugs cuz i had a feeling id be able to tell what was going on and #2 and 3 cylinders werent firing at all, spark plugs are still brand new, 1 and 4 were running tho and ill tell u what for running on 2 cyls it was running pretty damn good LOL

i pulled the cas and it seems to be in right, the mark on the spinner lines up with the mark on the case and when its put in its facing the front of the car

yea check your 2-3 coilpack. Chances are that died for 1 reason or another since cylinders 2 and 3 are on the same coil and seem to be the ones not working. Check CAS as well.

well i dont think its getting spark or fuel, i tested spark and when i pull the spark plugs out they arent wet at all, seems like no fuel either for 2 and 3, i swapped the cas 180 and it runs the same, and tried a different coilpack and nothing changed so im gonna try a different cas

My car is idling like CRAP, it'll die if I don't give it a little gas. It's weird... I'll give it a steady amount of gas staying around 2k and then all of a sudden the rpms will go up by itself to 3k and would stay there (tps maybe?). It starts perfectly fine, doesn't struggle at all. My alternator and engine fuse are both good, the battery, alternator, starter are all new. I'm not getting any codes thrown. Right now I'm thinking it's either the TPS or ISC, MAYBE the front o2...I'll check that. I remember I cut the rear o2 and had my dad solder the wires back together a while back but the rear o2 is just to monitor the cat for OBDII applications.

Oh yeah I've triple-checked all my vacuum lines and made sure everything I've touched within the last week is tight and everything is good.

What kind of fuel computer are you using? I installed an e-Manage and had to cut a wire going to the ecu that controlled ignition timing (there were two of them, one for 1&4 and the other for 2&3). I was installing the ignition harness in order to control ignition timing. Well, my connection wasn't great and it was only running on two cylinders. I soldered the connections(liked I planned on doing in the first place after I made sure it ran alright) and it was great; never had another problem. I would investigate that wire.

not to sound like an ass .. but you do have the saft set for 4 cyl, rising throttle, and karman sensor right?

yes the car was running on these afc settings for over a year

how do i go about figuring out whats draining the battery tho

my meter only goes to 250ma so i dont know how useful that is going to be, what kinda draw should i see normally

i dont really know how to check, i hate electrical work
