Just finished a 6-bolt swap on a 95 GS-T, and it wont start, no crank, nothing... Dash lights work fine, everything else is ok. I know alot of you guys have had some similar problems, hoping someone can help. :dsm:

does the starter even click when u try to start. double check all the wires going to the starter, make sure they are tight.

wires are all tight. makes an occasional clicking noise battery charger is hooked up on the battery also so it isn't dead and the fuel pump makes a lot of noise.

WTF?

Did you do the Magnus method of a 1g in a 2g?
Double check your wiring of the Cam Angle Sensor....
Also check to make sure no fuses blew in your under hood fuse box.
Make sure you can turn the crank with a 1/2" drive rachet.... just in case.

Yeah, I always do the RRE method, I paid extra attention to do the 95-96 method. Fuses are ok (I think) I've already replaced the starter relay, it bit the dust the first time I tried to crank it, after that I found a different ground and cleaned/tightened the connections for the starter.....? :dsm:

Hi,

ignition wise, is everything hooked up right? Is your crank sensor working ok?
Let us know what happened.

The engine rotates well, ignition seems to be correct....the cam sensor is off of one of my old cars, so its known to be good...

The 6-bolt just uses the CAS, I'm in the process of double checking my wiring on the stock 2g cam and crank sensors into the 1g cam angle sensor.

If the starter doesn't move then you are wasting your time checking CAS and Ignition. The problem lies in your charging/starting system. Try connecting 12V power directly to the starter to see if it responds. If not then your starter is most likely the problem.

I had the starter bench tested and it is fine... the connections are all cleaned and tightened and double checked to be in the right places. there is a cluster #*ck of wires under the dash for miscellaneous shit that has been hooked up before i got it. when I got the car it was needed the new motor but when you tried to turn on the car it smoked from behind the dash and it would drain the battery if the doors were locked and the car was just sitting.

Hi,

you have a short in your electrical circuit. Go and have a professional look at it!
