Ok.... so today, i'm out at the junkyard getting some interior parts for my talon.

I'm heading back to the front desk to pay for my parts and i stumble across a late 80's supra. So i look up under the front and BAM. Fmic! Next, i pop the hood and look under the hood and BAM. stock turbo! The turbo looks like it has a bigger compressor housing than a td05.

So what do people know about the older supra FMIC? i hear alot of stuff about the newer supra smic, but is this fmic any better? it is pretty big in size.

Also, what is the info on this turbo? My plan was to piece together my own td05 frank 20g turbo, but if this turbo off of this supra can do what i need, then i will get it and rebuild it/have it balanced. (before it starts, i know someone with a vsr balancer so i'm good for doing my own turbos. ;) )

Ive seen a 91 dsm with an older supra FMIC. It worked good, hell of alot better than a stock SMIC and a hell of alot cheaper than some 1600 dollar greddy FMIC. Its the custom piping thats gonna nip your heals though...
Personally I wouldnt bother with the turbo. mabye pull it off, port it, blance it, clip it etc and sell it back to a supra guy.

awesome... thanks for the reply.
Do you think that the supra fmic will be able to sustain around 300whp?
