I have a dillema; I have to put BG in my transfer case, but the fill bolt is so mangled, it is absolutely impossible to get off. Can I put EXACTLY .6 quarts of BG in there through the breather hole? Looking at my factory service manual, it appears that the breather hole is shared by the same area as where the fluid sits inside the case, BUT I want to make absolutely certain. Thanks!

If your carefull, handy, and good. You might be able to to a quick tack weld of a nut on to it and get it off that way. I've used this method on other things, put a nut on something..quick tack weld in the center then wrench off. Not everyone has a welder though. I did say CAREFUL. If you start your car on fire don't blame me

Are you thinking of the transmission?

So the breather line it is for now...

Welding a nut on there sounds good. Time to call one of my welding friends :) Thanks guys!
