Finally got my car out to the track again, after an 8 month sabaticle. This is in my new town of Tucson. The track is Tucson Raceway park and is 3000 ft. elevation(which kinda sucks.) My ETs were really bad, because #1, I suck at driving, and #2, I have been nursing very bad 2nd and 3rd gear sincros for a year now. 12.5 is all I could manage. BUT, I did manage to trap 120mph. Whats even better is, I picked up 27mph between the 1/8 & 1/4 mile, indicating I am making some pretty good HP. Besides this I am also still on the stock 2G intake manni, and unported head, and the car weighs in at 3500lbs+ with me in it. Not great, I know but I am trapping in the 120mph range now. So the car is starting to make some really good power.

Oh, and BTW, the car has a full interior, working A/C, gets AT LEAST 25mpg, driven daily in the Philly Winters(and now the Tucson summer), and made a 2600 mile trip across the country 2 months ago without any problems.

So if anyone wants to talk about how much these times suck, keep all this stuff in mind. ;)

You realize a full weight 96 5 speed weighs 3130?

 Yeah it says that on some of the sites, doesnt it? Put a fully loaded unit on a scale and tell me what it says ;)

I am running an AGP RS65. Boost was at 30psi, but I was at 3000ft elevation so the turbo was working harder than it should have been to sustain that boost.

No bottle on this run. I took the nitrous off awhile ago.

And yeah, it was at 3000ft. I wonder what kind of drawback that had on the run. Im not sure HOW bad different elevation affects the cra, only that it does affect it.

considering my last time was 118mph at Atco(which is sea level), I would assume the car would quicker at that track right now. I just dont know how much quicker.

I was still running an internal gate at Atco. I think I was getting like 26-27psi, and it would creep to 30. It just couldnt handle the exhaust pressure. Now its a solid 30psi. Funny thing is, I actually went over 30psi on my 3rd run(guage was pegged), but there was no increase in airflow, and I only went 119mph. Ben seems to think my tiny little turbine housing is starting to show it's colors at this point. I also really wonder how much of a restriction my stock 2G intake is causing. I think I am one of the fastest mph on a 2G intake right now.

Bone stock 2g engine with exception of cams has went 129mph.

That's stock block, stock pistons/rods/intake manifold, untouched head.

ARP Studs, metal HG, and dually 272's.

This is in a 2g FWD, 26" slicks (which slows mph a bit) and an ET of 11.1

Sorry, I meant AWD 2G.

for a 50 trim low boost and pump gas.

You consider 30psi, low boost? And I'm assuming with 30psi that's on some Sort of Race gas.

Needless to say 120mph is nice traps but Jeff (eclipsed20G) would still have you beat if his car was AWD. Stickly because 120mph vs 129mph is a big enough gap to counter act the fact that a GS-T usually traps higher then an AWD in the 1/4 under the same HP.

But anycase 120 is good.... I am hoping to be at 120mph as well once I get a chance to get to the track. I dyno'd 403whp on pump gas 22psi and 92 oct. Which should put me around 118-120mph traps. I suck at driving also, so when I get a chance to go to the track I'm only looking for MPH.

No i consider 120 mph a good trap speed. If he was running a 50 trim turbo with a *small* exhaust wheel pump gas and under 25 psi of boost on a stock motor.

And I have the fastest DSM on my street (it's also the only DSM on my street). Your point was that you were making a certain power level on a stock 2G intake, and DSMu4ia's point was that there's a car out there making more power on a stock 2G intake. That has nothing to do with him being FWD or AWD. And I'm sure there's more out there, as the world doesn't revolve around DSMtuners, as sad as that is

Sounds like you're making improvements, though, keep it up.
