castle rock,
Hi im new here just got a 1990 eagle talon TSI AWD, i really like it alot and im very excited to start modding i already have, a blitz BOV, K&N filter, centerforce stage II clutch, turbo XS boost control, and a full Apexi N-1 exhaust. I also had some bad things happen to me right off the bat, my clutch went out so i brought it to the shop and he fixed the clutch for 653 with parts(got a huge discount) and i guess when he was test driving it a hole melted in my boost control hose so my turbo had no limit to how much boost it was giving to my 14b. so now i just got a new clutch and a new 14b turbo so that wasnt the best news but i am just wondering did some searching i need to find some headers for my car, on the parts guide it gives headers with no link and i cant find the link, if anyone knows where i can get these products then i would appreciate it.

they don't make headers for our cars, i think its downpipes and exhaust manifolds. Most people just port the stock manifold but i think hks makes one

yea i noticed that they had those manifolds but i also saw a headers that said turbo performance tubular header, looks like they wqould bolt up just cant find a link for it.

Our cars have cast exhaust manifolds (the stock one) or tubular exhaust manifolds which are sometimes called headers. Checkout www.sfp.net South Florida Performance.

I know PSI on turbos varies and all that hoopla but im asking people that know alot about these cars, i just got a new 14b turbo installed and with the mods i listed above do you think i would be safe running 13-14 psi or should i run more or less? what should i do, like i said im new and trying to ask the pros about this.

I bought the Archer SS Tubular Header and had it crack on me.

I took it to Brent Rau to see about having it re-welded and he said why?

I took my Stock Ported Exhaust manifold to 11.0 before swapping out.
He told me to put the stock one back on.

ps: but with some turbo's you'll have to swap up just to run that type as it won't bolt up to a stock turbo
I run an HRC S20G turbo...

You can run 16-17psi as long as you rewire your pump. I would recommend doing some portwork to take full advantage of the 14b. I run 18psi all day long on my ported to death 14b with a bunch of mods and Supra IC.

Nope Manifolds and headers are completely different. Manifold is and assembly that gathers exhaust and headers are one unit. On a non true dual cae they have a HEADER not headers. thats plurl(spelling?). And you sohuld only have headers on a NA car and Manifolds on a Turbo car. The turbo puts to mauch weight on a header and therefore damage happens. Thats why all turbo cars have manifold, at least thr majority.
