Ok i only wanted to run up to 18 PSI and i was thinking which Turbo would o me best and be Dependable many peopl have told me T28 and other have said thr Frankensine Tutrbo JR. my other wuestion is what is the difference between a T28 and a Big T28

The big 28 is bigger...hehe

Go with a 14b, t28 or a 16g those aer all perfect turbos for being efficient @ 18psi and cheap

thanks for the help guys umm 90 gsx those site helped but i read that the t28 can only hold up to 18 psi coud i put out more out of that

Ok, but I didn't see anyhting about an 18psi limit on MachV's T28 page.
They claim 620cfm, and 76% efficiency at 14psi, but no 18psi limit mentioned. Additionally, there are different T28 specs. FP's T28 is supposedly larger than a standard T28, as well as AGP's, but I don't know specific specs on either turbo.

Having said that, the compressor housing is still very small, despite how large the compressor wheel inside is. You'd probably just be heating up the air above 20psi.

I run 17 psi on 91 octane pump gas easily with my AGP T28, and it pulls pretty damn hard... plenty for me. You can easily run more boost with race gas.

ok now im even more confused whsat the diference between a AGP and a FP T28 so if i was to buy a T 28 i would get the .... ( finish that sentence ) i eman i want to be runnigna round 18 PSI or and have it spike at like 19 or 20

There's really not too much difference between the two. Both perform really well and both company's have excellent customer service from what I hear, I can speak for AGP by experience. I haven't heard a single complaint about either turbo yet, so just pick one. I will say that AGP is having a group buy right now. Check it out in the classifieds section. $650 plus your T25 core and free port work.. you can't beat that deal. Hope that helped.

Your asking the wrong question. You can run 18psi on just about any turbo. I can run 18 lbs on my 60-1 t3/t4 and make 375+ to the wheels on pump gas with other supporting mods. Or you can run 18lbs on a 16g and make around 250-275 on pump gas. So maybe you should rethink your question so we can give you a better answer.

OK umm so far i Have Full Exaust cat, test pipe , and a down pipe i also have plugs and wires,K & N Intake, Air fuel gauge and boost guage so far thats all the engine mods i have so far all the rest are for looks but i have about $1500 saved up so i was thinking of getting a turbo and a blow off valve and a boost controler so i was planin on runing around 18 psi or i want to put out about 260 to the wheels thast for now i just got this car like a couple of months ago.

you can make 260 to the wheels a bunch of different ways on a bunch of different turbos @ 18psi.

Shoot for HP, not PSI. 18psi on a Green is considerably different than 18psi on a T25. Otherwise why upgrade?

Ya, it'd probably be alot easier for everyone here if you were to state say, "I'd like about 300 whp while only running 18 psi." Then, everyone will go "Get (enter turbo here)" "No fool, get this (enter turbo here)". But, you'll get a better idea if you shoot for whp rather than 18 psi.

OK so i should go with the T28 not the Frankenstein. the reason is that my turbo is almost cooked so instead of buying another T25 i was just goin to buy another Turbo so i was wonder if T28 or Frank but if i do get the T28 which one should i buy and How many types of T28 are there and what are the differences. Well i want to eventually put out yea mabe 300 whp.

There were a couple different versions of the T-28 if I'm not mistaken. A FP ported Big28 is capable of 350 to 400 crank HP with SUPPORTING mods, including race gas. I would say know your hp goals before purchasing anything first. You have to keep in your mind that a "STOCK" 2g 4g63 motor can "ONLY" support around 450 crank HP which is pushing it, without having some internal motor work done. I have been totally satisfied with my FP Big28 so far. I currently run 19 psi and it hits hard with basically no lag what so ever. Both AGP and FP have similar 28 series turbos. Both have about the same HP and cfm ratings.

alright thats great umm i don't think i would come close to 450 at the crank umm.... i only will prob put like 350 and i would still upgrade my pistons,m rings , rods and cam shafts. Yea i also ordered a new clutch.

thanks for your help hey Speedy where did u get your turbo what was the website.

I recommend FP big28. There are other big28s that will make the same power any will do. The FP big28 is good for like 22psi to redline so if your shooting for 18psi this should be perfect. This is a very affordable option especially now with other companys offering an equivalent turbo. It is a DIRECT bolt on so insallation is easy. For the price you can't beat it. One more thing to is you are awd so the quick spool will benifit you even more (you don't have to worry about smoking the tires like me)

Alright thats greast man thanks very much but umm do u know were i can find A FP big T28 what web site or even a phone number for company.

I will be doing the same as Rafael, but I was told that it is better to get a larger turbo, like the TD05 14B or 16G because the smaller housing turbos give up quicker. However, the TDO5 seems to crack a lot. You guys have any info about that??

I purchased mine from Forced Performance. I paid in total $881 bucks shipped to my front door. That price included my stock T-25 as a core swap, which was in perfect condition, porting of the turbo, and a new 7cm gasket which you will need anyways if you have the turbo ported, which I advise you to do to get the most out of it. I'm shooting for around 400 crank HP with the addition of some HKS 264/264 cams, and all other supporting mods. Good luck!!

hey guys ok im going to get in on the groop deal with the turbos from agp but i was wouindering i have yet to replace my factory intercooler ...
do you think i need to replace that first or do i can use it till i get a bigger one ?
