OK....i have the money to buy these things and i got stuck on this. Should i get a open or recirculating O2 housing? I have the TDO5H housing with a 16g compressor wheel. I have no other mods besides the hacked air can, BCS thingy, and a catback system with a highflow cat.

even though illegal i think it sounds great. you just have to decide how much of a risk you want to take getting a ticket.

i dont understand the sound though... is it like an air rushing noise or is it an exhaust type noise?

its an exhaust type noise

since most of your exhaust is shooting thorugh the wastegate after you hit peak boost, it dumps in to the atmosphere without any muffler and sounds really obnoxious

some people like it, some dont, but it only happens at wot pretty much

Does anyone know which is louder or there is a difference in sound between an internal o2 dump and an external dump?

Your question does not make any sense. Either your dumping the wastegate gases or your not. Your options are:
A) o2 sensor housingthat re-routes the wastegate gases back into the exhaust piping. Quite sound.
B) o2 sensor housing that has a tube from the wastegate side of the turbo down to the ground. VERY loud, higher top end speed.
C) External wastegate setup for a non-internally gated turbo. The external wastegate using has a pipe dumping the gases below the engine, just like in (B).

I should have been more clear on the question.

Is there any difference in sound when using an internal gate with a o2 housing dumptube(stock 1g cut with tube welded) or,

Say a Tial external setup with an external dump. I know they will both be loud, but I have heard from a couple other dsm'ers that an internal gate with a o2 dump is way louder and much more obnoxious.

That should clarify my question. :thumb:
