So, I've decided to go with a GT35R Ball Bearing Turbo, Forrester Racing Head, Ferrera Cylinder Head components, 1st Gen 6 bolt motor, AMS 2.3L Stroker Kit, 780cc injectors, AEM EMS Unit, and a whole bunch of other stuff. How much horsepower do you think I'll be running? Im getting all my stuff from AMS. They said i'd be running about 11.4's in the 1/4 mile on high boost. How much HP and Torque do you think I'll be running???

Ok, that thing doesnt really work...anyways..anyone else have any input...

The 35R is capable of over 600 horsepower, or a little bit more than a 60-1.

That means it has the potential to run 10's.

I can't tell you how much power you will be making, or what times you will run. That requires way more information than you gave us.

Not to beat a dead horse but you can't just slap shit on there... You wanted a rough guestimate, I gave it to you, what more do you want? This is already crossing over to the bench racing world...

You would easily have the ability to make over 500whp with that setup. BTW...Get at least 1000cc injectors. There's no reason not to with an EMS.

Although this isn't exact HP figures, etc. Just take this for what it's worth.

My friend Dynot 526whp and said when he descided to change turbo's his next turbo is going to be the GT35R. So you know it would have to be capable of putting out alot more then 526whp in order to make it worth while for him to upgrade.

We also have 1 person who is in the final stages of assembling his 2.4L who already has the GT35R waiting to on it. (I've seen it Looks just like my GT3565, but Ball Bearing),

so I'll have more accurate info once his Car is completed with some Dyno time in the next month or so.

But for now I'd wager it's larger then the FP3065. And would be more in line with the FP3565 that they don't promote, probably due to most people not needing a turbo that large.

As for me I ordered my Turbo last friday, should be here in about 3-4 weeks. In which time I'll be hitting the dyno once it's installed.

How much HP will you make?? I would think you should be more concerned with how much power in general you will make. With that setup properly tuned you should make will over 600 wheel at higher boost levels. Enough to break stuff if you don't know how to manage it. I am sure it will be impressive, just remember that asking how much power you will make is a silly question. Obviously you are going to make good power, the question is will you be able to use that power and put it to the ground and then be able to shift without damaging anything for more than a few months. That is where it gets tricky trust me. Good luck! :thumb:

I'm going to be running my GT3565 on a stock 7bolt. So we'll see how long that last's.

The guys running the fully built motors are expecting to be min about 450whp on pump

Since one is the owner of one of the best tuning shops in Minnesota and the other is a moderator for NABR (also is lead tech at that shop) I trust there judgement.

I know Shane's previous personal best was 460whp on a pump Mix, so I'm sure since he's swapped turbo's he's looking for more.

Which scares me to some extent since I'm on a stock 7 bolt, but then again it's just an excuse to build a motor if it blows.

I'm only looking to run enough boost to hit 425whp. This is my Daily Driver and Like someone mentioned it's not like your running your car at 425whp all the time when you drive. I just like having the Power on Tap when need be. ;)

Got to figure this much though, I've seen a stock 6bolt motor put down 508whp and that's his Daily Driver. And he isn't the first to put down over 500whp on a stock 6bolt (2G/pistons though). So 2G stock internals should be good to 450whp.

IMO

A GT35R will make as much as any sane DSMer would want to make. I know 3 guys locally who have one, and to say the least the cars are scarey. Marcos Passante has one on his race car that runs low 9s.

If I were to ever ugrade turbos this is my only choice. Like I said in a different thread about this turbo....If you go with this turbo, you won't be disappointed.
