Ok, my engine ate a bearing of some kind, prolly a balance shaft, since it messed up my oilpressure. I found a chewed up bearing in the oil ban when I got it loose.

Anyway, I am trying to get the damn oil pan off, got all the bolts out, and it just kinda dangles there, stuck on the axle, and the oil pickup. I can't get the angle to get it off. I have tugged on the hell out of the thing, from all directions (hope I didnt bend up the pan too much).

Do I have to take off the damn axle to? :( If so, how? Please help if you can.

Thanks
Oh Yeah its a 95 TSI AWD stupid shaped 7 bolt pan

you would have to drain the fluid out of the tranny, take the axel nut off and get the hub out of the way enough to pop it out. Use a big screw driver or somthing of the sort to pop it out.
I dont know if you can do this without removing the axle. I have a colt

I think you are going to have to unbolt the carrier bearing from the back of the block, so that you can move the axle out of the way.

Yeah, I should have been more specific. My apologies.

I got my pan off with the axle still in. You just have to get the right angle. Obviously the downpipe has to come off.

Hey, I got mine off too with out removing that axle. I took off the oil pick up tube(it's a pain in the ass though) and that makes it easier for me to get the right angle. If you take off the oil pick up tube and still cant' get it off, try turning the wheel, the axle will also turn and you'll get a better angle that way. Hope this helps, good luck.
