I took my 300 mile 16g purchased from slowboy racing to a machine shop today to have turbine housing compressed to compresser housing because it WILL NOT COMPRESS and they broke the impaler wheel and broke some more stuff all to hell. Now it is worthless. I need to know what to tell them. I think that they should pay for a new one. What do you guys think? Please help me out on what to tell them.
Thanks

that sucks man, what did they tell you?? did they just say sorry and closed the door or something?

take it home and are just now realizing this? Did they call you and say come pick up your broke such and such? This seems a pretty simple thing. If they broke it, and you go to pick it up, you say this was not broke when I dropped it off. And that's that. Not sure what the problem is here...

I have not accepted anything yet, I'm waiting on them to contact slowboy, and then I'll go from there.

LOL, slowboy will laugh at them i would say.....how does that make sense?? why are they calling them??

machine shop-Hi, we just broke this dudes turbo he purchased from you all, can you send us another one or tell us what you plan on doing about it??

Slowboy- HAHAHAHAHA, click.

LOL:p im just messing, seems like the machine shop should just give you the money for the turbo.

Are they a small buisnes?
if you say them break it and you havent accepted it yet then they have no choice but to pay for it:thumb:

What the hell are you taling about? Compress a housing? What do they put it in some machine that makes it smaller? Compress it to the turbine housing!?!?
A clear, in any way, explanation would be nice.

But in the end if they broke it, they buy it. Really that simple

press the housing onto the center cartridge is what i was guessing sometimes they are a PITA the get on.

As it was said.

If you have not accepted then i think you are in the lines of asking the shop to replace it. Im sorry this happened:( really is a sad thing.

I would have broken heads (won't make any progress)
but you should take a stand and hope that they fork out some cash..

Sorry to hear your problem

The compressor housing on the backing plate I can see, because it is not fun with a new sealing big o rig on it.

I am pretty sure that is what he is referring to.

Why did you take the turbo apart anyways?

Slowboy can fix it for you... just tell them you will send it slowboy and they will have to pick up the bill.

Contact the Better Business Bureau. If the shop ends up taking care of it, just call the BBB back and close the case. It takes 30 days for them to get to it often, so the sooner the case is opened, the sooner they can help.

Rite now there trying to see if slowbow will do anything about it but I dout that they will because it really isn't their falt.

Slowboy shouldn't have to do anything about it, your shop should do what's right and replace it, and they just have to pay for it. I'm going through kinda the same thing. My shop didn't bleed my slave cylinder, and fried my clutch because of it. I can't even believe I have to go as far as taking them to small claims court to get my money back for the new clutch I had to pay for.

Ok, I went down to the shop today and they want some small time company to fix it real cheap and he wants me to pay half when I did nothing wrong. I argued with the machanic over 30 min. The next time I talk to him I will demand that they send it to slowboy and have it fixed if not replaced in full. The guy tried to blame it on me and say he had no instructions and did not want to accept full charges. I told him if you were machining a $1000 dollar block and f@##ed it up then you would have to pay for it rite. He said thats another story. I told him it is the same type of thing. I am waiting for him to call me back about it because he's trying to get more info on it. But I streit up told him I wasn't paying anything. This is a race shop spechalising in street rods so I see no reason why they can't foot the bill. I'll get back at you guys later.

I talked to the main owner today and he said he would send my 16g to slowboy and have them fix it and he will pay for it but, when it gets back in two weeks that he wants me to cover some of it. I'm thinking to my self, I am not paying a dime. Let you know more in two weeks.

whoa whoa whoa.. dont let them even THINK that you are going to pay. go to them and tell them that they F-ed up and you're not paying a thing to have the turbo fixed. PERIOD. i mean, be affirmative because usually they'll think they're - better than you and think that you'll comply to their silly requests. [ sadly because most people do ]

take a stand and threaten to take it to court! do it soon!
