moncton,
Greetings all,

I am new to the DSM camp, but not new to high power vehicals.

The question, what do i require to do a 6 bolt crank swap in a 2G.
Like for example: Crankshaft (duh), bearings, fly wheel, Rods, Ect.

Any help would be great

Thank you,

Rob

Rob,

You will need to swap either the short block 6 bolt motor ( 90-92 motor ) or the complete long block of the same year. JDM engines can also be used as they for the most part identical to the USDM 6 bolt ( JDM 6 bolts from Evo 1-3 I believe ).

Use these articles to aid your swap:

Many members on this site have done the swap, so search for anything related to it and PM anyone who is experienced with it. Experience is always better than internet opinion. Good luck.

hey man thanks for your help it will be most useful.

The only problem is that im up in canada and all the usual suspects (motor suppliers) can not get me a motr from a JDM eclipse, so i was wondering if anyone could help me find an engine importer in canada who carries the motor that i require, cuz it will be better that i swap this out when i get the car, then to have the crank walk and toast the whole motor.

So any help would be great
