Here is a pic of the collectors next to each other, I don't believe there are any number stamped on it though.

correct  6cm for evo and ~5cm for 2G (add ~1c when step is removed)

Im not going to be negative, but why didn't you just port out your stock 2G? I am curious why everyone gets evo stuff now...

Thats an easy one... "Two fast to furious, Im too fast for ya'll, man!"

Hey I had an EVO3 on my car becasue I was too lazy to port my manifold and I didn't want any downtime. I bought the EVO3, did the swap, and sold the stock mani on the trader.

the reason i got the evo mani is becuase it flows more then the 2g and i will be porting that out so it will flow more then a ported out 2g fu*k fast and the furious it aint about that ### shi*t either

well i cecked the size of my stock T25 turbo and the colector on that is smaller then the one on the new mani so i would say that i got the right one unless the 2g mani and the T25 collectors are diff sizes

So why didnt you get the evo3 ported when you bought it?

yo gstracer so will you be selling your stock mani.........
.........i'll take it email me

I am in no way dissing anyone.... money is just that--money and its everyoen peragotive on how they want to use it. I was just asking is all....

My point still stand though man-- if you are going to be doing port work than the evo and 2G are equal in performance. THe EVO does not "flow more" in any case where the 2G is ported to match it. Even in stock form the EVO will only flow more when matched with an unported 16G. If you bolt on an EVO you will actually have a restriction as it is larger than the turbine inlet on any 14b/t25.... Point being you will have to port something (usually its best to port match everything) so you might as well keep the stocker and port that while you are at it. THe manifold is a manifold...even a 1G can flow the same or more so than any ported EVO if done correctly. The only downside is cracking usually tends to happen on them.

In Johns case its not a huge deal, but if you are buying one and have plans to port it then you are loosing out man. You could have just as easily ported your stock 2G and never bought tht EVO in the first place. This is my only point.

i will be match porting the 16g that i have to the evo manifold and i didn't buy it ported becasue i bought it from a place that sells it without offering porting well everywhere that i have seen has said that the evo mani out flows the stock 2g so i figured if it out flows it stock then when you port and polish it it will outflow a ported and polished 2g mani thast why i went with the evo 3 one

hey man tis all good my friend... no pun intended. Hope you enjoy and good luck. 16G's are the shizzle in my book

i could have sworn the evo3 exhaust manifolds are also cast........alot less prone to cracking than the stupid stock 2g manifolds that crack like mofo's. thats enough reason to upgrade right there dont u think????????

2G Manifolds and EVO3 manifolds are made the exact same way.

i must have been misinformed then. also i think the 2g manifold on slowboy was $180, and the evo3 was $190 shipped. now my 2g stock one was cracked. what do u think im gonna do? save myself $10.00 by getting another 2g manifold? or i could spend $10 more and get the evo 3 and spend less time porting it to get it where i want it to. i just think if your going to buy a stock new exhaust manifold, for the price the evo3 is a must.

The evo manifold contains some nickel content in it to help it be less prone to cracking.

Take it anyway you want. Thats a good enough reason for me to upgrade to an Evo manny vs. my 1g...LOL.
