Why when I run my car wot on the logger it only sees 88% tps when Im on the floor does this mean Im not hitting my cars potential?

It means your TPS is not adjusted correctly. Unscrew the 2 8mm (i think) bolts a little, so you can move the tps a litle. Adjust the TPS so that it hits around 96+ at WOT and 0-2 at idle.

what do you mean? ur tps is only showing 88% when throttle is 100%? In wich case i would suggest u get a new tps...give us some more info on your problem, im not sure what it is
:thumb: :dsm:

Sorry when my peddle is on the floor Im only hitting 88% on my logger so wot being peddle on the floor. Where is the TPS? ANyone got a v### page on it?

check the throttle cable, make sure that when then pedal is floored it opens 100% and the pulley hits the throttle stop

Right. Make sure that the throttle is physically opening all the way, and if it is you need to adjust the TPS.

I know on 1gs at idle the TPS is supposed to be at 10% not 0%

I cant quite remeber if the same thing goes for 2gs but I think that it does.

Adjust your TPS that is the problem.
Did you take your TB off or anything like that to cause this?

Nope never moved my TB and from what I can tell from throttle cable pull that if I ever so slightly touch the peddle it moves RPM so Im pretty sure the cable is tight.

i used an ohm meter and got mine to 100%.

If you want an easy way to do it, plug your pocketlogger in (pending you have one), turn the car on to the acc position and start up the logger. Set it to view TPS. Start the adjustment until it reads 0% and then tighten the screws. Done..

Mine reads 0% now with the throttle closed. So will moving it to give me more WOT percent hurt the idle or can I just turn the idle down?

If your throttle is closed and it reads 0% , then your throttle cable is not tensioned right... Undo the screws on the intake manifold and slide it to your right until it's tight and still reading 0% throttle....Hopefully that will read 100% with your pedal to the floor..

Umm yeah you can smack me now umm my floor mat was holding the peddle off the floor! I just was sitting in there kep to acc and matting it hitting 88% push harder 99% did it like 10 times then keyed in floor mat! LOL 99% easily!

hehehe, glad it was something easy...

When the logger reads 93% at wot, and i have confirmed the throttle is open completely at this reading, is it really necessary to adjust the tps? As long as i realize that 93% on the logger corresponds to 100% throttle, does it really hurt anything?
You may call it sloppy but if it works, it works.
Slick <--just curious
