ECU interchange

Hey guys I have a 93 eagle talon tsi awd (auto) I am in the process of putting all my evo 3 parts I ordered and many other parts in it very soon I need a ecu for the car and was wondering if anyone had info or has done this before and also what ecu's are interchangeable for my car. I NEED YOUR HELP! I have heard that I need part # md193299, but others say thereare more options????

Don't know the part number right off the top of my head but you can use an ECU from a 91 to 94 auto car(make sure it is from an automatic), why to you need a ECU is yours bad or something?

Forgot to mension I need it to be a 5spd ecu sorry!

What trans are you using?, hopefully not the EVO one because it won't work and did you swap out the auto rearend for a manual one, other than that use a ECU from a 91 to 94 turbo ECU for a manual tranny.

Gearing is diff. there is a tread somewhere that talks about this I will look for it and post it for you.

I have a 91 AUTO and am now running a Big16g, 650's, M/T turbo cams and a M/T turbo ECU from a 92 GSX 5 speed along with the rest of my mod in my profile.... The ECU works perfectly in my AUTO car!!!!! It has the 450cc fuel maps to help with the bigger injectors over the stock 390's that came in the auto 1g's... I have a SAFC II installed now so i can properly tune the car beyond the fuel maps for the old 450's. The stock 1g TCU does all the work controlling the Trans, not the ECU... SO any 91-94 5 Speed ECU will work for your car... this link will help you pick the correct ECU. http://www.vfaq.com/mods/ECUs.html

I say go for the upgrade to a M/T ECU it will be easier to tune, until you go bigger fuel pump and injectors. Then you'll need to make sure you get a AFPR and a SAFC to tune properly for fuel trims...

Thats funny, I've smoked many auto DSM's that were built up more then my car, I tore em up right off the line, even though they were building boost at the line, could hear that turbo spooling next to me.

I have a Eprom ECU from a 91-94 automatic car. I'll sell it if you want it.
