What u guys think? I am doin a rebuild here shortly on my n/t to turbo conversion car. my plans are clevite 77 berings, bse kit, wiseco's 9:1, stock rods with arp bolts, arp main studs. now i have a few questions.

1. the motor in my car is the rotating assembly out of a turbo car put in my non turbo block, I mean everything rods pistons crank rings and berings. I have the turbo block that it came out of should i use it or use my n/t block. The reason i am asking is becasue of the oil squirters.
2. 9:1 good or bad
3. Arp fastners needed or waste of my money.

I want this to run in the 12's on the 14b on slicks will it be capable?
Thanks Kurt

Get stock 1G pistons (can find the for REALLY cheap) and use them inside the stock turbo block (squirters).

12's on 14b with slicks is obtainable. No need to go with 9:1 for that...keep that money saved and use it to freshen up the head and buy lots of Corona's

First of all what does "Hipo Rebuild" mean?

1 You should have your turbo block reconditioned using whatever your wallet allows: forged or stock turbo pistons. The least expensive option is stock.
2 9.0:1 may be good may be wrong .It really depends on what do you intend to do with the car.
3 Arp's are by no means a waste of money but it will add to the price of them the price of machining needed.

The more you do the more reliable engine you will have , that's if you tune the engine right too. And of course do not forget to take care of the head too.
Mitch.
