Buying a new head...

Looking for opinions on who builds the best heads. I've been looking at Slowboy and Taboo, but am not exactly sure who I should go with. Please give your suggestions.

Smith Machin in Wichita Kansas for me. Lots of DSM guys around here have there whole motors done there. I cant see spending that much money for a rebuilt head.

What are you planning with the car? I wouldn't bother with a $2-3000 head unless you're planning on making some serious power.

Thanks, that was very informative. I wasn't planning on doing anything more than oversized valves and minor port work, but I think I might just do a valve job (burning oil like Sadam).

If you are putting in oversized valves you will be getting a valve job anyway.

Right, but I was referring to buying a new head with oversized valves and port work, and now I'm considering just doing a valve job on my head.
