Where should I tap for egt?

I know on the #1 runner. Is it before or after the bolt for the heat shield( before being closer to the head ). It looks a bit close to tap it before the bolt but i've never done this before so you tell me. Thanks

I have mine about 2-3" from the collector on the #1 runner.

yep, about 3-4", #1 runner, on top

I was wondering if I tap my EGT into the O2 housing, will I get inaccurate readings? The only reason I'm even thinking about doing this is because I have an SFP manifold, and they will not warranty it if I tap an EGT into the manifold.
