calgary,
Hey guys, could anyone tell me exactly what car this is for? This is what the maf says:

E5T05072
Mitsubishi

The filters are HKS. (obviously ;) )

It looks exactly like the MAF sensor sitting in my lap, and the #'s are very similar...so I'd have to guess it is a Mass Air Flow Sensor for a 95 99 Turbo Talon or Eclipse.

edit, I just realized why you couldn't identify something this simple..you don't own a dsm. I'm not sure why that filter was adapted for it....it would be hard to fit it in a dsm like that.

ahh thanks for the info guys. Any idea what that thing is worth? would anybody here be intrested in buying it do you think?

i wouldnt count on getting alot out of it, it looks like those filters are near the end of there life if not already there but maybe you could clean them or something and fetch alittle cash?

I would have to say that the HKS filter is acctually pretty good. I have one on my car and have nothing but good things to say about it. They have a nice velocity stack built in and when it gets dirty I just slap in a new $10 filter and away I go. When I'm at the track I can take the filter out and just run the intake with the velocity stack. I pull my headlight out and that seems to get the best cold air to the turbo possible when racing.

I have yet to acctually try back to back runs to see the difference but my GTI picked up an honest 1/10th in the 1/4 mile taking the headlight out and pulling off the filter...
