i had mine done for $2400 installed without new solenoids or shift kit... it does act up on occasion, so if I were you look for a shop that will include new solenoids... or you could just get one from IPT and DIY... It was -20 outside and i had no tools so i had to pay the 1k+ for labor
 
I'd call around to the auto trans shops in your area but if you want to bring the trans to them, have them rebuilt it, then put it in yourself I'd think it wouldn't be more than 1500.
 
You might want to PM Highpsiguy and see if he'll rebuild it for you, he's a member that rebuilds, mods the TCU and puts down a lot of power through his auto trans.

If you're looking to stay stockish, see who other local DSM members have gone too, there's usually someone that's trusted to do regular rebuilds and installs.
