When I first start my car in the morning, I let the car warm up to operating temperature, but the trans is still cold of course (less than 100 degrees). Well, when I try to put the car into any gear like drive or reverse, it just slams into the gear so hard that the car just dies. It takes about 10 minutes of constantly re starting and putting it into a gear to get the car to MOVE at all. Then I finally can get it to move, and it is fine. I think it is my motor mounts (my stock rubber mounts are absolutely TERRIBLE. The whole engine wobbles around at idle, and I think this may be causing the harsh shifting. If anyone has any ideas of what it could be, let me know. Thanks:thumb:

Broken motor mounts will definitly cause rough shifitng. Do you feel any jerking between gears in drive?

What are your ISC counts?
You could have a vacuum leak and the ISC is doing nothing to keep the motor alive while you put it in gear, hence causing it to stall and run rough at idle.
