has anyone tried a aftermarket shifter?

has anyone tried a aftermarket shifter for the 1g autos? i was think like maybe a b&m quicksilver since it fits most domestics i'm sure it could be adapted ,has anyone ever done it?i would love to try it but my cash is low right now thanks to a new roof for the house!

well its just a shifter...auto shifters just move back and forth so it probably will work but i am going to be putting a rachet shifter in mine soon and i will try to remeber to let you know how it goes. i want to just slap the thing into a gear without it moving more then 1 gear.

and yes anything can be adapted given enough time, money, knowledge, and patiance (sp)

My friend put one on by relocating the OD button to the console. Worked well enough for her anyway.
