1G-specific Checking AT fluid level on 1G?

Is the car supposed to be in park or in neutral during the normal operating temp?

Park the car on a level surface and leave the car running and in neutral with the parking brake on, when checking the A/T fluid level.

aight I was right when i thought of that, but the hanes manual says it should be in park. No wonder alot of DSM's r having bad tranny, totally misleading them.
