Star Performance Turbo Kit w/T04E
I get more than a fare share of questions about my turbo. So in return I will post my suggestion to those in the 420A community that have a Star Performance Kit and want to upgrade the turbo.
The Garrett Ball Bearing T04E
Most know of the T3/T4 Hybrid turbo from Turbonetics Inc. While a great street turbo (comparable to the Mitsu. Big16G) many of you want more upgradability. I did so I sold my T3/T4 and upgraded to a ball bearing T04E. Let me be the first to say that this turbo is beyond amazing. It spools as fast as the T3/T4 because I went with the ball bearing option, which adds a nice chunk of change to the price tag of the turbo but is more then worth it. It bolts up to the Star manifold the same and uses the same wastegate as well. It's an upgrade that I suggest anyone who wants to make REAL power go with. Hope it helps.
