Updated to remove LM Programmer usage as it seems to be causing people a lot of trouble. Still retained one example using LM Programmer all the way at the bottom for reference.

One question that pops up very often is how to hook up your Innovate LC-1 wideband controller. I figured I would put together a listing of the many different configurations that I have seen people ask about. These will be broken down by vehicle generation for logging purposes.

Make sure when cutting the front o2 wire (white wire at pin 4 location) that you're NOT cutting the knock sensor wire. Make sure there's a BR (Black/Red) and YB (Yellow/Black) wire on either side of the white wire you cut.

Do not put the blue wire to sensor ground as you will blow the ECU's sensor ground track.

Basic install (DB gauge, No logging) [LC-1 placed in new bung]
Red wire – 12v accessory power source (e.g. cigarette lighter or radio)
Blue wire – chassis ground
White wire - ECU sensor ground (pin 24)
Brown – DB gauge’s white wire
Yellow – Not used
Black – Calibration push button to monitoring LED to ground

Basic install (DB gauge, Logging) [LC-1 placed in new bung]
Red wire – 12v accessory power source (e.g. cigarette lighter or radio)
Blue wire – chassis ground
White wire - ECU sensor ground (pin 24)
Brown – split between DB gauge’s white wire and ECU pin 15 (ECU Pinout - http://www.dsmlink.com/images/forums/1GECUPinout.pdf)
Yellow – Not used
Black – Calibration push button to monitoring LED to ground

Narrowband simulation install (DB gauge, Non-logging, Non-ECMlink v3 setup) [LC-1 sensor placed in front o2 spot]
Red wire – 12v accessory power source (e.g. cigarette lighter or radio)
Blue wire – chassis ground
White wire - ECU sensor ground (pin 24)
Brown – DB gauge’s white wire
Yellow – ECU pin 4 (ECU Pinout - http://www.dsmlink.com/images/forums/1GECUPinout.pdf)
Black – Calibration push button to monitoring LED to ground

Narrowband simulation is then done inside the v3 software - v3narrowbandsim [ECMTuning - wiki]

Basic install (DB gauge, No logging) [LC-1 placed in rear o2 spot or new bung]
Red wire – 12v accessory power source (e.g. cigarette lighter or radio)
Blue wire – chassis ground
White wire - ECU sensor ground (pin 92)
Brown – DB gauge’s white wire
Yellow – Not used
Black – Calibration push button to monitoring LED to ground

Brown – split between DB gauge's white wire and ECU pin 75 (ECU Pinout - http://www.dsmlink.com/images/forums/2GECUPinout.pdf)
Yellow – Not used
Black – Calibration push button to monitoring LED to ground

*Note – The brown and yellow wires can be swapped in this scenario.

Narrowband simulation is then done inside the v3 software - v3narrowbandsim [ECMTuning - wiki]

DB Gauge
White wire – Signal output wire from LC-1 (either brown or yellow – see above for which)
Yellow wire - Non-dimming illumination (e.g. headlight wire)
Red wire - 12v accessory power source (e.g. cigarette lighter or radio)
Black wire - Same ground source as LC-1 blue wire

XD-16 Gauge
Red wire – Same power source as LC-1 red wire
Black wire - Same ground source as LC-1 blue/white wires
Serial IN – connect to Serial OUT port on LC-1 controller using the male 2.5mm stereo to male 2.5mm stereo cable
Serial OUT – Not used
*If using the XD-16 gauge, the black wire on the LC-1 controller is not used.

For those of you who still need the rear o2 functional to pass emissions, this suggestion was given to me by gofer.
