:talon: I just bought some rims and tread off of ebay...problem is the sizes don't match my oem tires...I have a 1990 talon tsi awd and the tires on it are p205/55r16 89t touring...the tires I got off of ebay are 225x50r16 falken ziex tires. the rims are 16x7 universal lug. another question is what would be a general ballpark figure if I were to have the rims redone? the clear coat is pealing.

are you looking to have the rims re-clearcoated, or powdercoated, chromed??

oh and 225/50-16 will fit perfectly on those 7" wide rims

:talon: TSiAWD666, actually wondering about the ebay set of rims/tires fitting on my talon.
and I think that I'd like the clear coat on them because I don't know if chrome would look good with the black cherry paint with the grey underlay of the car...too, I don't know what color of powder coat would look good with it either...
if picture loads, tell me if you think that $280 is a good deal.

i hope this comes thru...

oh man, american racing wheels are notorious around here for losing their finish like that. the problem is stripping the clear coat off without damaging the finish on the wheel. how much did you pay for those?

$280 with free shipping...even though my dream wheels are the 3-spokes from gran turismo III a-spec.

:talon: what is offset? (sounds dumb, but if you explain it i'd know) I do know that if the tires were on a F-RWD before then the tread would be uneven and not be good for my AWD.
