I don't like have my amp where it is. What I did was took a piece of plywood and cut it to the size of the amp then put said piece of plywood under the carpet in the hatch where I wanted my amp and then just screwed my amp into the plywood. I hate how it looks. I need some ideas of where to put it. It's just a Jensen 400w 4-channel so it's not very big. Also, what can I do with my sub? I have a 12" Xplod in a box I got from Walmart. What I am planning on doing is cutting the spare tire hump out and putting a piece of sheet metal or something over it so that it is flat. But, if I can't do this, what are my other options?
you would have to run more wire from stock position and it would be more of a chore, but it's for the better. on the subject of your woofers, trow out that wal*mart box, and build your own to fit the contours of your interior. it just takes some wire, plywood, choice of finishing/carpeting to put on box when done building it, and of course the skill of wood work... you will want to put it where you don't think that it will harm the hatch window...hmm...hope those woofers aren't too good...any ways, with the ability of your design, you can also put in some plexi-glass and have cool lighting. hope this helps!
