im making fiberglass door panels with lcd screens built in. I currently have an lcd on my passenger door panel, but im ordered some door skins off of ebay to fiberglass and build in the lcd to the door this time. Here is a before pic and 2 after pics soo far. This is the freshly laid fiberglass resin on the door panel before it dries so no sanding. What do you think soo far? Ill update as fast as i can but the amount of homework i have depends on how fast i can get these built...

these pics might now work so try copying and pasting the url if they dont.

not sure on the exact lcd yet, but most likely a 6-7" TFT LCD screen. Im gonna try to wrap the insert in red vinyl, but if that doesnt work , ill fiberglass that aswell. thx for the compliment.

where exactly are you putting the screens? you should angel them upwards if you arent already .... and did you just paint the resin right onto the door panel?

the screens going to be in the same place it was last time, (check my gallery). And yes i did just "paint" on the resin. I havent fiberglassed in a while so i accidently added half the resin i was supposed to so it looks like i have a little bit of a wait before i can go anyfurther:rolleyes:

yea, im debating wether or not to try to scrape off the layer thats on now cause in not positive how long its gonna take to dry. Some is dried, but i dont wanna wait a few days on this to dry...

its drying jsut slowly, im gonna let it sit and dry for a while and probaly jsut start on the driver side door. Pics as i progress

kinda bringing back an older thread.... but did you just take a door panel, mix some resin/harder together, and brush the resin/harder mix on the door? How does it look after you sanded? Did you lay any glass over it.. or leave it at just the resin/harder?
