Question about Bumpin system

can anyone tell me what brand of car subs and speakers bumps the hardest, and loudest. I hav heard diffrent from lots of people and r wonderin wut everyone here thinks

That's like asking what car is the best.....there's soooo many choices and everyone has there own opinions. Give a price range though and maybe we could narrow things down a little bit...

Like was said, there are too many brands and types that you can't ask the best, but here is what I think:

best speakers are
mb quart
diamond (hex)
focal (imo not as good as mb quarts)
alpine
infinity
rockford

best subs
memphis
rockford
alpine
eclipse
JL

NOTE: don't argue with MY favorites, just list yours I have not heard EVERY speaker before, so don't be offended if i don't know about your fav. brand. Also, note the best of the best are also the most expensive (duh) so figure out what is the best for your budget. MB quarts are sometimes around 800 dollars, a set of focals can be 999.99, a good sub can set you back 600 dollars, etc. good luck

I like kicker personally. I have used their stuff since my first system. All are basically the same. Just learn to read the specs and choose what is right for you. Decide if you want sound quality (SQ) or loud as hell (spl)

dude what do u want sq, spl, or sq/spl i mean everyone has their favorites its hard to pic but theirs also money, i mean if u want to spend the money theirs alot of good subs heres my fav pics

sq subs:
image dynamics, jl lower level subs, memphis
spl subs:
resinate engineering, jl higher level subs, MA audio
sq/spl subs:
elemental desings (best subs ive ever heard...one e10 or e12a will fill an eclipse like nothing adn has some of the best sq ever)

speakers:
focal to me are the best around

then u got amps, HU, wiring, and excessories

thanks all, my pricerange that im willin to spend on audio is about $250 to answer on of ur questions. wut subs will shake the shit out of ur car and mirrors?

Well to shake lots of things will fall in the spl category. I'm hoping that the 250 is just for subs. 250 isnt much when building a good sound system. All I can say is check local pawn shops for name brand subs that have been pawned in. Dont buy there off the wall crap.

I was gonna put 2 15" power HX'2s in mine, but taking into consideration that it would weigh around 300lbs I decided to sell one 15 and just go with a single sub with the weight reduced to around 130 extra lbs

I have used just about every speaker they make. Good stuff. Its like owning JL for half the price.

I highly reccomend them.

Speakers are such a trivial thing. Its up to the person listening. But if you want decent stuff, its gonna cost you. I spent $500 on mb quart component speakers at one time. And the sad thing is, when it comes to SQ competition, some guys spend 2x as much.

Since my talon isnt a spectacular car made for SQ, i decided to go with an all rockford fosgate setup. Why? Because its halfway decent, and i work at best buy, so i get it for 70% off.

I transplanted a 500W Sony Amp & 2 12inch subs in a box from another car into the DSM - these Hatchbacks REALLY MAXIMIZE the subwoofer effect - Even with that "small" Amp it blasts you into submission IMO - it's too much....

I'm gonna ditch the twin 12 inch subs & go with a single 10 or 12 inch Bazooka - That alone will pound you in these Hatchbacks.

I'm using the biggest stock Alt that will fit & a 1/2 Farad Cap too.

You could probably find a single 15" Kicker L7 for under $250 on eBay. Hook that up to a mono class D amp that puts out atleast 1000w and a 3+ cubic foot box and you should be set for some serious shakin' (or maybe I should say rattling ).

id go witht he l7 in a nicely tuned box, good price, but if u want to reamin with the sq i would still go with toemthing like an ED they are a wonderful sub flat subs, excellent power range, outstanding sq and spl, not to bad of a price tag......e10a is a well worth sub. but u do plan on building a custom box cause that will help alot

Some say up. I also agree. But the 2-12"s I has were loudest facing backwards. If you point them up, point them directly at the glass. My 2-15" solobarics are like that and are insanely loud. Some subs need something to "hit" off of. So just play around with it and figure it out.

Just go to wally world and get you a powerd bass tube. it will hit decent enough for what you want to spend. also being in a hatch it'll be louder than being in a trunk.. or save your money . I have at the moment 1 13.5 JL W7 being pushed by a JL 1000/1 amp.. the W7's were made for sound quality and SPL. and in the hatch of my eclipse.. its awsome.. never have i heard one sub hit so hard and sound so clean.. .. put it this way it hits harder. louder than my boys 3 10's with 1,200 watts up to them.. your mouth will drop after hearing one and it'll make you wonder if there is another sub hidden in there.. its that loud

I'm in the 150's, the car had no dynamat or deadner in it when I hit 153.9. I think I can get more out of it. The amp wasnt maxed out and I was dropin voltage to 12.5. If I can get the voltage up while it plays I think I can get a high 150 out of it. Two extra batteries isnt enough for my monster amp.

2 crossfire BMF DVC 12's.
1 crossfire class d 1000D amplifer.

Thats my subs.
I love em personally.
Definately way outa the $250 price range tho...
